The numbers are based on a recent survey of 843 companies & 152541 individuals conducted by http://www.zhaopin.com; an prominent online recruiting company in China.
The government’s xinhua news agency also reported the numbers: http://news.xinhuanet.com/edu/2008-09/05/content_9773344.htm
Unfortunately, I haven’t see any English version releasing these numbers, except by me -:)
